Michael Costa Racing kicked off their satellite stable in flying order on Saturday with their first runner Red Dynamite winning by a huge 4Ls.
The Red Ransom gelding was steered by the ‘King of the Coast’, Daniel Griffin. Griffin took a sit off the early tempo but trucked well into the race at the home turn. Griffin hit the button approach the 300m and Red Dynamite decimated his rivals in only a few strides before being eased down to win with a leg in the air.
Red Dynamite has been a great purchase as he was picked up for only 6.5k at the mixed thoroughbred tried horse sales. Before joining Michael Costa Racing he had not won a race for over two years and has now gone onto win in town and two times city placed.
Michael Costa says: “Red Dynamite is a great example of the advantages of having the new satellite base at the Gold Coast. He will now be able to goto either Doomben next Saturday or back to the Gold Coast in the coming weeks and still carry reasonable weights. I hope our bulletin followers had something on at the $4”.
